Endoscopy nurse

My name is Ewa Soja-Olejarz. I have a master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in oncology nursing.

I have completed a specialist course in endoscopy, and gastrointestinal diseases have always been my greatest passion. I am a member of the Polish Section of Endoscopy Nurses and Assistants under the patronage of the Polish Gastroenterological Society.

To ensure the highest quality of services, I regularly participate in training courses on the effective decontamination and reprocessing of flexible endoscopes, as well as scientific conferences related to the digestive tract, such as the Congress of the Polish Gastroenterological Society, National Endoscopy Days, and Warsaw Live Endoscopy.

At the Mazan Surgery Clinic, I assist in procedures such as:

• endoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (ESG),
• gastric balloon placement and removal
• PillCam endoscopic capsule placement (small intestine, large intestine)
• gastroscopy with biopsy for histopathological evaluation and/or trauma testing
• colonoscopy with biopsy for histopathological evaluation,
• polypectomy (diathermic loop, cold loop)
• chromoendoscopy (staining of the gastrointestinal mucosa to detect pathological changes)
• bleeding control (endoloop, clips, coagulation, banding)
• PEG placement (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)
• treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) using endoscopic methods
