A neck lift can be performed under local or general anesthesia (a one-day hospital stay is required). The incision is most often made in the retroauricular area, and sometimes also in the submental area, at the hairline, and is therefore invisible. Loose skin is pulled upward and to the sides, and excess skin is removed.

Post-treatment recommendations after a neck lift

After the procedure, dressings are applied, and the patient returns to the clinic at scheduled times for dressing changes and suture removal approximately 10 days after the procedure. The patient may experience pain, bruising, swelling, and even minor bleeding.

Return to normal activities occurs 2-3 weeks after the procedure. For approximately 2 weeks after the procedure, it is recommended to limit physical activity (avoid sudden movements and strenuous physical exertion). For the initial period after surgery, hot baths, saunas, and tanning beds should be avoided.
