A breast lift procedure aims to improve the shape of the breasts and remove excess skin. Mastopexy also allows for a reduction in the size of the areola and nipple, as well as repositioning them upward. The procedure can be combined with breast augmentation.
At our clinic, we perform:
When the breasts are no longer as firm and attractive as they were years ago, and the skin becomes loose and stretched, a mastopexy procedure, also known as a breast lift, is performed. Deciding to have a breast lift is a step towards greater self-confidence. At the Mazan Surgery Clinic, we offer comprehensive care, covering all stages – from the initial consultation through full recovery.
Qualification for the procedure includes a consultation with the attending physician, during which a detailed interview is conducted with the patient and the indications for the procedure are assessed. At this stage, the appropriate treatment method is selected, and possible risks of complications and post-procedure effects are discussed, taking into account the patient’s individual needs. During the consultation, the procedure date is also set, and the patient receives pre-procedural recommendations and a list of necessary tests to be performed before the procedure.
Medications: Take your medications regularly, but consult your doctor about the use of blood clotting medications.
Tests: Perform the recommended laboratory tests 7-10 days before the procedure and send the results to the clinic. Provide a certificate from your dentist.
Personal preparation: Wash your body with antibacterial soap and wash your hair. On the day of your procedure, please arrive without makeup, jewelry, or contact lenses, and without any creams or lotions. Bring pajamas, a tracksuit, slippers, and toiletries.
After the procedure: Arrange transportation home; do not drive for 48 hours after the procedure under general anesthesia.
Health changes: If you experience a fever, runny nose, cough, or other health changes before the procedure, please contact the registration desk.
A breast lift procedure involves removing excess breast skin, thereby lifting and shaping it. To achieve a natural-looking breast, the areola is lifted higher, creating symmetrical breasts. Incisions can be made around the areola, vertical, or anchor-shaped, depending on the degree of breast ptosis. All details regarding the procedure are discussed during a preoperative consultation with the surgeon.
After a breast lift, the patient is fitted with a dressing, a drain, and a specialized bra. The drain is usually removed within the first few days after the procedure.
After the procedure, patients may experience swelling, pain in the surgical area, numbness in the breasts, and decreased nipple sensation. All of these sensations subside approximately two weeks after the procedure.
Mastopexy surgery, unfortunately, leaves behind thin scars. These are more visible immediately after the procedure, but over time, the scars become paler and less noticeable.
It is also worth supporting scar fading by using appropriate creams and treatments, such as deep oscillation.
For several weeks after the procedure, the patient must wear a specially fitted bra both day and night. Physical activity can resume after approximately six weeks.
Swimming, saunas, and hot baths are not recommended. Sleeping with the head elevated and using pillows under the shoulders is recommended.
During the procedure, excess breast skin is removed, shaping and lifting the breasts. Depending on the degree of breast sagging, the incisions may be placed around the areola, vertically, or in an anchor shape.
The cost of a breast lift procedure starts from PLN 18,000.
Unfortunately, the treatment leaves scars behind, but these fade and become less visible over time. Creams and treatments such as deep oscillation can be helpful.
