Consultation and qualification for the procedure

During the initial consultation, the doctor selects the appropriate implants for the patient. The choice depends on many factors: desired results, anatomical structure, natural breast size, skin condition and elasticity, and lifestyle (e.g., intense physical activity).

When selecting breast implant sizes, it’s crucial to consider the woman’s body shape – the breasts must fit the silhouette. Otherwise, they won’t look natural and harmonious. It’s important to remember that:

  • There is no single ideal size, but there is a range that works well with the patient’s physiognomy.
  • The decision shouldn’t be based on how we look in a bra, but rather how we look without underwear.
  • Larger breasts don’t always mean better results.

Preparation for the procedure

  • 2 weeks before the procedure: Avoid dental procedures, medications that lower blood clotting (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, dietary supplements), and products such as garlic, ginger, and fish. Avoid smoking (including e-cigarettes) 4 weeks before the procedure, and alcohol and caffeine for 5 days. Avoid procedures that affect the skin (tattoos, piercings, aesthetic medicine), and sunbathing.
  • Diet: It’s recommended to follow a light, protein-rich, low-fat diet.
  • Medications: Take your medications regularly, but consult your doctor about the use of blood clotting medications.
  • Tests: Perform the recommended laboratory tests 7-10 days before the procedure and send the results to the clinic. Provide a certificate from your dentist.
  • Personal preparation: Wash your body with antibacterial soap and wash your hair. On the day of your procedure, please arrive without makeup, jewelry, or contact lenses, and without any creams or lotions. Bring pajamas, a sweatshirt, slippers, and toiletries.
  • Chronic Illnesses: Patients with heart disease and high blood pressure should take their medications as directed by their doctor.
  • Discontinuation of GLP-1 Analogs: Discontinue all GLP-1 analogs (e.g., Ozempic) at least three weeks before your procedure to avoid the risk of complications.
  • After the procedure: Arrange transportation home; do not drive for 48 hours after the procedure under general anesthesia.

Performing the procedure

Breast augmentation involves placing implants under the breast gland or pectoral muscle. Incisions are made to minimize visibility—usually under the breast, around the lower part of the areola, or in the armpit.

The method of implant placement and their precise positioning depend on the patient’s choice, the anatomy of the breasts, the type of implants, and the surgeon’s discretion. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. Postoperatively, dressings and a special compression bra are applied.

Convalescence

After the procedure, the patient remains at the clinic for a few hours under the care of the medical team and is then discharged home. Recovery lasts from a few to several days. Pain resulting from the stretching of the tissues and pectoral muscle by the implant is alleviated with available pharmacological agents.

In the first few days, weakness, a slight fever, tenderness, swelling, or breast hardness may occur. Nipples may also become less sensitive. The patient should schedule approximately two weeks for follow-up visits and dressing changes. It is recommended to sleep with the head elevated, place pillows under the shoulders, and avoid intense physical activity for six weeks. Swimming pools, saunas, and hot baths should also be avoided.

After approximately two weeks, if the doctor approves, breast massage can be initiated, which reduces the risk of hypertrophy of the connective tissue capsule around the implant.

Breast implants: anatomical, round, B-Lite

Round implants are softer and their appearance remains unchanged when lying down. Using a round implant eliminates the risk of breast distortion caused by a rotated implant.

Ultralight B-Lite Breast Implants

B-Lite implants are up to 30% lighter. The filling is silicone gel combined with air-filled microspheres. This combination makes the implants up to 30% lighter than traditional implants. B-Lite implants are an interesting solution for patients seeking larger breast sizes.

Over time, the tissues that support the breasts and provide them with tone and lift lose elasticity, making them susceptible to the unfavorable effects of gravity. With B-Lite implants, we naturally reduce the unfavorable effects of gravity on the breast tissue, ensuring they remain attractive for longer. Implants are available in round and anatomical shapes.
