Due to weight fluctuations and loss of skin elasticity, the appearance of our arms changes. They become saggy and unsightly, which undermines many people’s self-confidence. This is especially problematic during the summer, when we opt for clothing that exposes our arms. For the aesthetic problem of sagging arms, we recommend brachioplasty to our patients.
After the procedure, a pressure dressing is applied. Hematoma, swelling, and bruising of the surgical area are possible. The patient returns at the scheduled appointments for dressing changes and suture removal. Active activities can be resumed after approximately 2-3 weeks, and sports after 4 weeks. For approximately 2 weeks after the procedure, it is recommended to limit physical activity (avoid sudden movements and strenuous physical exertion). For the initial period after surgery, hot baths, saunas, and tanning beds should be avoided.
Arm contouring procedures vary depending on the needs. In cases of small amounts of sagging skin, only the excess skin is removed. However, if there is only a small amount of fatty tissue, liposuction alone may be performed. Incisions are made on the inner arms to minimize visibility. The wounds are closed with layered sutures, and drains are placed in the base of the incisions.
The cost of arm plastic surgery starts from PLN 12,000.
In the case of sagging arms, the ideal solution is brachioplasty.
