Accelerated bariatric procedure

On Tuesdays, we begin testing at our clinic with a blood sample and a navel swab at 9 a.m. Then, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., the patient undergoes a gastroscopy and chest X-ray, and between 3 and 5 p.m., an ultrasound of the heart. All testing takes place at affiliated clinics located in Katowice. After completing all necessary tests, the patient returns to the clinic and discusses the results with the operating physician during a consultation visit, selecting the appropriate bariatric procedure.

On Wednesday, patients report at 12:00 noon at the Clinic’s Registration Desk to sign all necessary documents related to the procedure, undergo final tests such as spirometry and ECG, undergo a psychological consultation, and complete the formalities for the procedure.

We also offer two hotel rooms (one single, the other double). The room includes a bathroom, TV, safe, and Wi-Fi, while a separate room features a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator. The cost per night is PLN 100 per person (meals not included). Therefore, it is possible to book a hotel room for a companion or for the patient alone between the day of the scheduled tests and the day of the procedure.

Before scheduling a procedure, you must complete a bariatric questionnaire, which the doctor uses to determine your initial qualification for bariatric surgery. This form can be obtained by contacting the Mazan Surgery Clinic’s Registration Office directly.
